The Air 

It's funny because the light in my new office is probably the most inspiring light in our whole duplex. In the mornings, it comes through the huge windows that look out on our outdoor patio, and hits the once purple dried roses I keep on my desk. These are the mornings I feel truly grateful for an opportunity. An opportunity for a new day, the same dream, and getting one step closer to the projects that keep me excited about my life.

In My opinion there is nothing chicer than seeing a girl in menswear inspired clothing. It instantly tells the world, your confident enough to take the gender risk, and easy going enough not to care what people think. I’m a comfort freak, and my style is known for being “tomboyish.” I’m interested in the idea of “tomboy glam,” and the UK based brand Ashish is a perfect peek inside melding both worlds. Here’s a look I put together mixing my must have item of the collection, the distressed glitter denim. xxx

Kerrin and I are both in the midst of navigating what we call, “big girl jobs,” and the financial realities of living in NYC as a young person. Someone once said to me NYC is for the young and the rich. Being just young, were working on the rich part, but having an oversized Acne wearing soul sister doesn’t hurt on my way to figuring that out.

Reinvention

Pause, Evaluate, Reform 

In its inception, Style&Air aimed to be a voice box to a generation, a demographic in their 20’s, who is experiencing life in NYC, or other similar environments, the ups and downs, and how a love for clothes, plays a key role in making life all the more special on my way to achieving my dreams in the big city. Style&Air was intended to come from a place of honestly, vulnerability, and love. It strived to be a raw uncensored memoir for those who can relate to the life I live, and where I plan on going with my brand. I feel I have strayed from the original vision I had for StyleandAir. We will still have our trend reports, and shopping guides, but the message and the journey will take president. I am not about ignorant consumption, I am about loving what you own, and creating memories in pieces you treasure, surrounded by the ones you love.

I want not to create a platform of fantasy, but to tell my beautiful journey, in the clothing I have collected over the years. Growing up is the hardest thing people go through in life, and we are given the opportunity ourselves to sink or swim. Like everyone working on a dream, there are real hardships that I face everyday that I plan on being more open about, in the new format of StyleandAir. How a purple Christopher Kane wool sweater, or Balenciaga magic sparkle trouser, can make you smile no matter how intimidating the meeting. So hold on tight, make the choice to put ourselves out there, listen and learn from my highs and lows, and let’s make memories.

Houghton Spring/Summer 15'

Romantic & Wearable 

There was not a single piece from the Houghton ss15 collection that I would not wear. It's rare to find a line that mixes masculine patterns and oversized menswear inspired silhouettes, and makes them everyday wearable,sexy, and romantic. Here are my favorite looks from this am. at Milk Studios. I would say so far the forecast is summer layering, a true telling sign of an adept fashionista. 

Summer Bummer

Labor Day Weekend 

-I said goodbye to this summer in New England, covered in ice cream, and rocking my obsession of the moment; the turban. This Labor Day was a culmination of letting go of the  warm air and sandy beaches, and accepting the pending fall season in the big city. I arrived this am, ready and excited for the start of NYFWSS15, and even more ready to show you all this years amazing looks!
