3 days prior front row at Tome
I ended my NYFW SS16 at an East Village McDonalds with head designer Ryan, from NYC based label Tome. I must admit this was my first date, or even time at a McDonalds (health freak for a mother)! Ryan showed me how to ordered tenders and a happy meal, and believe me we superzized all of it just like Carrie would from Sex in the City, (the only thing missing was my pink Oscar Gown)! It’s magical moments like this that make NYC so SO amazing. I sat 2 days prior at Ryan’s show with all of fashions elite, watching his beautiful collection sail down the runway. Here we were now, at 3 a.m, sharing fries, and giggling about dating in NYC and thrift shopping. This is New York. I walked home in my rubber Converse rain boots through a glowing Chinatown, thinking - How lucky am I, to share my story with superstars like Ryan, and continue to fall in love with New York. xxxC

This NYFW SS16 has been go, go, go, that’s why I’m so happy to have partnered up with Converse this season, to help my tired feet out while running from show to show! I love sneakers so much, and I always love to look at the woman during the shows that are running place to place all decked out, but sporting kicks instead of heels. Were in NYC for christ sake, it’s hard enough in sneakers to get around! No fuss footwear leaves room to get even more decked out with the rest of the outfit, while still maintaining your downtown cool vibes. The first few days of FW started out raining, so it was awesome to be able to sport a Converse rubber red rain boot, while dodging millions of puddles on my way to the shows! (that post to come!)I I love Spring /Summer collections for the colors! Color is always something that gets me excited, it’s much harder to pair different colors and textures together, and takes a keen eye and true understanding of the pallet to do it right. I’ve been taking so many mental notes of pairings I can’t wait to try this spring! XXXC
