Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Launch & Film Screening

I spent tonight at the Angelica Theater on West Broadway & Mercer, for the launch of Derek Lam’s 10 piece fragrance collection. The 10 fragrances were accompanied by 10 short films that guests watched with wine, Derek Lam popcorn, and a variety of other common movie theater treats that got a makeover for the event. The 10th sent BlackOut, proved to be my favorite, as I usually go a musky less fruity route, when it comes to my personal sent choices. I’m not sure if Derek will make the 10 short films public, but if so, they are worth watching as an example of the right way to do product based films, (the wrong way being whatever fragrance Johnny Depp represented in whatever that short film was a few months back.) Overall this was a perfect way to kick off Fashion Week here in NYC, starting officially the 11th!
