From Bridget Bardot waves, to smoky lilac eyes, the SS15 runways are a glow with an inspiring vintage 60s revival, sure to reignite our love for clothes, and further inspire our ability to create looks. For me this season was monumental in re-inspiring my desire to pair patters, textures, and prints, and really push my own comfort dressing boundaries this spring. There is something so sexy about the 60s. It was not just a sexual revolution, but also a revolution for woman in general. We went from one pieces to bikinis, and were made more aware than ever the essence of glamour and feminine power. The collections were a reminder to keep it classy, and always pick just exactly where to show your skin. It was a pledge to take the extra step in makeup, with an almost undeniable message from designers, for woman to remember to dress ladylike. It’s the end of grunge, and the new beginning of the twenty- first century lady. My first stop, emerald green crush velvet pants suite, and the perfect leopard bootie.

I wore Nasty Gal Dress, Nike Air Max, Chanel Bucket Bag, D2 Hat,
As I sat in a nail salon somewhere on Mott St. after the Mulberry + Cara party tonight in Soho, I was thinking how funny of a time in life this really is. "Everybody that was anybody," was at the party crowded around a small table in the back of the store, hammering their initials into multi colored DIY leather bracelets. My moon symbol ended up looking more like all the phases of the moon, and my C.M. initials were upside-down, but it was a cute party favor in the end. When people ask me if I consider myself and "socialite," I like to clarify and say I'm a girl, that's social, and hope I can spread some sort of light and levity to the fashion scene. I don't take any of this to seriously, and think the best part of fashion week is playing dress, up and being inspired by others amazing style and talent.
My two nail polishes sat side by side on the manicure desk, black or pink- glitter-sparkle, & for the sake of my message, and less about matching my outfit, I picked the glitter sparkle ;) Take it easy, laugh at yourself, and put on some glitter polish on like this deborah lippmann shade I choose in Flash Dance xxxC
