Here is the second of 7 Look-Books tracking my New York Fashion Week A/W 16-17 show style! 

I collaborated again this season with my favorite kicks brand, Converse, and trusted the ChuckII to keep my feet comfy and stylish running from show to show! 

Everyone has been asking who makes this amazing raincoat! The designer is a Japanese brand called, MUVIEL! I honestly could not think up a raincoat that I would love more! Anything clear and embellished has my name on it, and gives you the opportunity to wear it in so many ways with different pieces underneath!  I decided to dress it down with a pair of high-waisted RE/Done jeans, my all time favorite Converse ChuckII’s, and a Topshop Boutique orange cropped sweater, for the Coach show yesterday! (Follow me on IG @LatelyIveBeenMe to see more of my Fashion Week fun!)

Derek Lam 10 Crosby Fragrance Launch & Film Screening

I spent tonight at the Angelica Theater on West Broadway & Mercer, for the launch of Derek Lam’s 10 piece fragrance collection. The 10 fragrances were accompanied by 10 short films that guests watched with wine, Derek Lam popcorn, and a variety of other common movie theater treats that got a makeover for the event. The 10th sent BlackOut, proved to be my favorite, as I usually go a musky less fruity route, when it comes to my personal sent choices. I’m not sure if Derek will make the 10 short films public, but if so, they are worth watching as an example of the right way to do product based films, (the wrong way being whatever fragrance Johnny Depp represented in whatever that short film was a few months back.) Overall this was a perfect way to kick off Fashion Week here in NYC, starting officially the 11th!

2 Trending Favorites to Buy Now; Sheer Flares & The Perfect Black Suede Mule

This weekend was a bit crazy here in NYC with the snow storm, and the city being shut down, but I still managed to fit in needed QT with friends, and attended a much anticipated engagement party at the four seasons for two NY socialites. I wore a Reem Acra nude gown with an embroidered train, and danced the night away with R&B legend Maxwell (not listening to his music, but dancing literally with him) swoon; it was quite the evening! Two broken Jimmy Choo’s later, we made our way back downtown to home, and reality. 

A true New York Night.   

I’m a sucker for anything sheer, so it was a no brainer that I took a liking to the sheer flare trend. Pants can be the bane of woman's existence, illuminating everything we take issue with on our bodies, but pairing you’re sheer flare with an oversized sweater gives you access to the trend, without feeling too exposed!

A Swimwear Must Have; The All White One-Piece

The Standard Spa Miami Beach is tucked away from downtown South Beach, and the perfect escape for us cold New Yorkers. I'm falling so in love with Miami! The latin culture; I love having to speak Spanish to order my cafe con leche from the small mom and pop diner window during a day of exploring the city! Cheers to more sunny days in one of my favorite cities. On another note; I encourage you to try a fun one -piece for you're next beachy getaway like this high cut white number via Nasty Gal! Wear post most intense sun hours to avoid embarrasing tan lines!
